Senior Network Administrator

**Position Overview: **

Knowledge & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and over 8 plus years of network administration experience

  • Must have exceptional well-rounded skills to quickly troubleshoot, identify and remediate operational
    issues proactively identify and tune network performance across a variety of network technologies
  • Hands on experience on WAN and LAN networks that includes Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco
    routers & switches, F5 and XGINX load balancers (Physical & Virtual)
  • Significant experience with the use of the network monitoring and diagnosis tools such as Logic
    Monitor, Wireshark, log analysis, etc. is highly desired
  • Azure and Google network infrastructure design, deploy and support experience
  • Practical knowledge of network security, including network encryption, IDS/IPS, vulnerability
    assessment and IT Security Certifications would be a plus Responsibilities
  • A reputation for responsive and effective customer service
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office at an intermediate level or higher
  • Must have excellent communications skills and be able to foster good customer relationships
  • Plan, Install, Configure, and provide day to day operational support for multi-OEM switching / routing
    equipment
  • Design, deploy and provide operation support on Azure and Google cloud networks
  • Plan, coordinate and implement network security for hardware and software
  • Completing defined daily checks to ensure the high-level health of the network
  • Installing, configuring, and tuning monitors, alerts, actions, and views within the Logic Monitor
    platform.
  • Good grounding in Palo Alto / ASA firewall technologies, from configuration to policy/rule base
    creation & working with Meraki devices & experience with Network Monitoring tools & Network
    Security & implementing Network Security measures is mandatory.
  • Administration and maintenance of VPN Connectivity
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of network / firewall issues
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of F5 / XGINX Load balancer issues
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated to the network infrastructure to support growth, performance
    improvement, and security initiatives
  • Maintain and continually improve network documentation and monitoring
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of new network technologies
  • Be a collaborative, team player and have an ability to learn from and mentor others
  • Own the Networks Service Desk queue, ensuring that all raised tickets are responded to within the
    agreed service levels
  • Raise and successfully complete the majority of BAU Network Changes (RFC’s)
  • Work with senior Network Engineers & Architects on a selection of Network related projects
