Regional Security Engineer

We are currently having an exciting opportunity for a talented and proven Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT team.

The opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Information Security the role will be varied with a focus on all technical aspects of the company’s security posture deploying and maintaining security technologies to standards and ensuring we are building and following auditable processes to industry standards.

The role:
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Manage the third party managed SIEM/SOC ensuring service and process are being followed
  • Test and update company software, firmware and firewalls
  • Assist fellow employees with cybersecurity, software, hardware or IT needs
  • Prepare and develop best practices and security standards for the organization
  • Develop the future technical team and security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks where possible
  • Assist in the analyse & design of computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs seeking improvements on a continuous basis
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Project Delivery of Key Security Projects
  • Service & Third-Party supervision of key services
  • Managed SIEM/SOC
  • EDR
  • Firewall & SASE & DLP platforms
  • Produce and manage documentation, processes and management information
  • Hands on experience & full knowledge on DLP, Email Gateways, SIEM & End-point protection.


Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:

  • 10 years IT experience with a focus on infrastructure and security.
  • Experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Experience in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Panorama Management.
  • Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls and Management (Palo Alto Networks, Panorama)
  • Good understanding of Prisma SAAS
  • Hands on experience on firewalls Palo Alto & Prisma access/Global Protect

Meraki: Experience in installation of firewall, APs & switches

  • Experience in Trend Micro Apex One Support
  • Hands on knowledge of Citrix
  • Worked on Proofpoint
  • Hands-on Tools and Skills: Email Gateway & security education


Desirable:

  • CISSP qualification or willingness to qualify
  • Other security or technical qualifications


This position will also be based in Asia Pac time zone but will expect some flexibility for meetings UK time and sometime very early US (EST).
